His expertise includes strategic underground mine planning, mine design, production scheduling, reserve estimation, cost estimation, economic evaluation, and project optimisation. He has strong technical experience in stoping and caving methods, ventilation, dewatering, geomechanics, drill and blast, backfill, and mine infrastructure. Walter has contributed to major mining studies including South32 Hermosa, BHP Resolution Copper, Franco-Nevada Oko West, and Codelco Chuquicamata Underground, combining multidisciplinary technical capability with practical, value-driven project delivery.

J. Vincent Gumba is a Principal Geotechnical Engineer with more than 40 years of experience across mining and major civil infrastructure projects. His expertise spans geotechnical site investigation, slope stability analysis, underground and surface geological mapping, rock mass classification, tunnel convergence monitoring, rock support design, and geotechnical risk assessment. His mining experience covers both open-pit and underground operations, including block caving environments. Vincent has held senior geotechnical roles with Mt Gibson Iron, BHP Billiton Nickel West, and Coffey Mining, supporting mine operations, pit slope monitoring, geotechnical investigations, underground excavation, and major infrastructure projects across Australia and internationally.
